Within the tumor microenvironment, neuro-immune signaling is the language spoken between immune cells, the nervous system, and cancer cells. Our pioneering platform translates this language, empowering us to develop efficacious and differentiated anti-cancer immunotherapies that target previously unknown neuro-immune checkpoint and co-stimulatory pathways.


Innervation of tumors and co-opting of neuronal protein machinery by cancer cells play a major role in tumor progression, metastasis, and drug resistance. We use functional genomics, bioinformatics, innovative co-culture systems, and imaging technologies to understand the interaction between tumor cells and the nervous system, leading to novel therapeutics.


Chronic inflammation is the dysregulation of homeostasis in tissues maintained by the interaction between the nervous system and the immune system. This neuro-immune interplay senses, integrates, and orchestrates the delicate balance between multi-tissue protection and pathology. Our unique insights into cellular and molecular players in this network pave the way to novel therapeutics.
